The New Moon greeted us yesterday and graced us with her presence. Did you take a moment and deepen into your vision and desires? Are you in alignment with where you are now and where you are heading? Mercury goes retrograde today which many will say with fear and dread. I believe Mercury goes Retro which means we are given the opportunity to settle in and notice the funky, the unique, the quirky, aspects in our lives that may need to be shaken up a bit. I may be kinder to technology and send love and light to my computer while simultaneously head out into nature and enjoy myself a little bit more so I can give my inner and exterior world a break.
What projects are you working on right now? What have you birth and are tending to? This is the perfect time to ensure you are paying close attention to them and giving them all some loving energy.
Are you desiring to dream, create, plan, organize and hold a retreat in 2015?
Last week I held a Virtual Class where I explained how I set my retreats. I love talking about this and sharing my knowledge around retreat planning. And since I think it’s such a juicy topic, I think I will share it with you!
10 Steps to Planning Your Next Retreat
1. Setting the grounds for a retreat
Your Desires - We first work with the concept of magic and energy. Feel into your desires and tap into why you are feeling called to hold a retreat. What can you offer, what are your unique gifts, and how will you show up for your guests?
Guests’ Desires - Move into feeling your participants’ energy. Who are you calling in? What is her essence? Why does she feel called to attend? What are her desires and why does she crave this retreat?
Collective Desires - How do you see the group interacting with one another and what is the energy of the group? What will your guests receive as a collective and what will they provide within the circle?
Visualize and feel into the energy of Mother Earth. Begin to understand the type of energy you desire to land on and which elements you primarily desire to work with.
Research the location and have a series of questions you are prepared to ask the retreat centers.
It is always helpful to create foundational tools to help capture all the information that you will need to ensure nothing is missed.
Set up your financial sheets, student registration documents, balance sheets, and travel information. You will also need to create a legal agreement and waiver form that will be shared with your participants.

4. Schedule & Plan
Feel into the plan of the retreat by visualizing it before moving into your head space.
5. Sales Page or Website
Create the copy and include important information such as the date, location, accommodations, retreat concept, schedule, price, and FAQs.
6. Guest’s web experience
It is important to consider your guests’ experience on your webpage. Will they be able to find all the information with ease? Will the payment options be clear? How will you confirm their payment and request additional information?
7. Market Retreat
Now it’s time to really call in the women. The first action I take is to go within, meditate, energetically connect with my guests and open to the magic of energetic attraction. I create a ritual specifically around calling in my women. I then feel into who I know that may be a beautiful fit for the retreat. I create a list and then either email or call then.
I provide monthly calls leading up to the retreat as well as provide a space for women who are interested in attending the chance to connect with one another and manifest the money to come.
I then place some attention on social media, ads, guest blogs, interviews, newsletters, and blog posts.
8. Legal Documents
As I market, I begin working on the liability waiver form, the contract, my refund policy, any release forms, emergency contact and food requirement documents and get travel and retreat insurance.
9. Participants Experience At The Retreat
Here comes the fun part. All of that energy that was placed on planning the retreat is so important but the next step really ties everything together. Your participants are coming to be in community and to have a transformative experience so let’s make sure they have one. Carve out special time to envision the plan for the retreat and the intricate weaving of activities that will allow your guests feel truly supported.
After your retreat, please make sure to provide a space for your guests to share their clarity, healing and integration process. A retreat can be a place for powerful healing and your participants may need a safe container to process. In addition, make sure to take some time off yourself. Holding space takes a huge amount of energy so please schedule massages, along time, healing sessions, and a team meeting to discuss the learnings after the retreat.
