When the wind begins to cut through my bones and I sit with hot cocoa, I know that my time indoors nesting will get longer. It means that I will spend quality and intimate time with myself. It is when I see the first frost that I begin to think about how I can use my hands to create beautiful works of art for myself and my loved ones.
There is this stereotype that I've come across - possibly because I'm Korean American, that Asians are artistic, have great handwriting, and can make something from anything. I’m sure this is quite true for many, including my dad, but I didn’t get that gene. I have great handwriting but that’s about it. I have a vivid imagination and see detailed pictures in my head but I cannot reflect that on paper. What I have realized is that I can be crafty! Last winter my bestie and I made wool scarfs using the arm knitting technique and it was loads of fun.
A dear friend of mine, who I believe I’ve now known for two years, inspires me everyday with her devotion to the art of making. Becca Piastrelli, otherwise known as The Dabblist, has a true gift. What I love is that she plays in her genius everyday.
SNEAK PEAK into THE MAGIC OF CIRCLE: 12-Month Mentorship Program
Becca is one of our mentors. Here she is teaching myself and the sisters in the MOC how to make herbal bath bundles.
I have never been great at giving gifts, its just not my love language. And yet, I have begun to see how loving and significant it can be to give personal, intentional, hand-made gifts. So I have made a commitment that this year, instead of agonizing over what to purchase, I will be infusing more meaning and connection into the holiday season.
Becca is hosting a free online workshop where she’ll be sharing these techniques that will:
- Have you enjoying a more intentional, meaning-filled holiday season (that doesn’t include mall parking lot road-rage and binge eating snowman shaped cookies at your company holiday party)
- Show you how to give holiday gifts that feel lovely and full of meaning to the lucky people you give them to.
- Give you the confidence to take on gifts this year without all the frustration and dread that usually comes along with it.
I invite you to join us in doing this holiday season differently. Finally feel true comfort and joy, rather than stress and anxiety, by learning how these simple techniques can transform your holiday season.
Becca is hosting this workshop on 2 different dates and times:
Thursday, Nov 5th @ 5:30pm pst (LA) | 8:30pm est (NY) ← http://bit.ly/1GC0dlz

Simply click on either of the dates above to register to attend. I hope to see you there! Be sure to attend the workshop live because Becca is giving away one Gift Making Kit (valued at $177) to a lucky attendee. So don’t miss out!
I am so curious to know what was a memorable gift that you received and what was a gift that you loved giving.
