Happy Fall Equinox! Sisters, do you feel the energy heighten as you take bountiful leaps forward into what feels like a clear path? You are so ready and then our dear friend Mercury decides to go into retrograde. Oh darn. Don’t pout lovely, this is simply a reminder to be intentional and surrender to the unknown. I know I work on letting go of full control of my life and it can be quite challenging but there are some amazing universal teachers in the cosmos making sure that the lesson is not forgotten. Now is the time to celebrate. Dance in your garden, take care of your faerie homes, hug those gorgeous trees, and share the reflections of your amazing soul sisters. Bring everything into harmony as you get ready for this new cycle, this new beginning.
I have been thinking a lot about the word BALANCE. To me, there are not equal amounts of energy or focus that can be applied to everything. For me, it’s not about attaining this preconceived notion of balance but rather learning how to come to a place of HARMONY.
Slacklining is the perfect example of this. The line is quite wobbly, flexible, and giving. It’s not like a tight rope which is taunt. The slackline, to me, represents life. There are ebbs and flows, it moves and it’s not predictable, even if you desire for it to be. The only way that you won’t fall is if you slow down your breathe, come to a place of ease in your body, and energetically speak with the slackline. If the slackline moves a lot, it means that your energy is coursing through your system with fear and thoughts. When you slow down your breathe, clear your mind, find calmness in your system, the slackline begins to move less. You are in harmony with your mind, body, soul, and the slackline.
I invite you this week to slow down. Be inspired and take energetic action, but be PRESENT while doing so.
I hope you enjoy this week’s ritual.
Mabon - Fall Equinox Wednesday, September 23, 2015 1:22am pst, 4:22am est
The Fall Equinox coincides with Mabon, a celebration of the bountiful crops and a time for deep gratitude for the abundance in one’s life. It’s during the time of the second harvest, the first being in the summer. During this celebration, we connect with Mother Earth, her food, her colors, and we bask in her fertility. There is an emphasis on community and tribe here so my invitation will be that you celebrate with others.
- Palo Santo
- Grounding essential oils
- Fall foods
