Every morning, no matter what time zone I am in, I can foresee how my morning will go. No, it’s not because I have the power of foresight - though that would be awesome! It is because I enjoy my morning ritual.
I get up and enjoy a relaxing cup of hot water with lemon, and then do 3 sun salutations, sit in meditation for at least 5 minutes, and then I pull a card from an oracle deck that calls to me, finally I visualize what my day is going to look and feel like.
15 minutes. That’s it.
15 minutes to feeling centered, balanced and calm. And that is as long as your morning routine has to take.
So often when I talk to a sister about their morning routine, they complain that it takes too long or they just don’t have time for it.
You don’t NOT have time for a steady morning routine. Remember, you, dear one, have the power of weaving time. You can slow down minutes into seconds.
A consistent morning ritual helps you feel grounded - no matter where you are or what is going on in your life. It is a practice that is done every morning like clockwork; therefore, your mind, body and spirit knows what to expect. There is much in life that happens quickly without our control but a 15 minute morning ritual can be a dedicated practice that becomes an old friend.
The most amazing part of a morning ritual is that it can set the tone for the day. It gives you the time and space to decide how you desire to feel and show up. By moving your body, hydrating your self, clearing mental space and feeling calm, you have declared your intention to live the day feeling wild, free and calm.
So my challenge for you, dear one, is to create a lovely, and loving, morning routine that opens your heart and sets your day up for magic.
