Tomorrow is the New Moon in Scorpio and if you have been following me for awhile you know that I LOVE honoring Bella Luna. She is majestic and connected to our divine feminine. I find her powerful energy during the moon cycle provides me with the insight and magic I need to manifest my desires. The next two days is a gorgeous time to create a ritual celebrating new beginnings.
New Moon in Scorpio
Thursday, October 23, 2014
By no means am I an Astrologer but the planets, stars and alignment fascinates me. Each month I dive into what is occurring in the sky to be more aware of what is happening to me on earth. I have been feeling a desire to be near water, to be a recluse and shed. I have fears that arises frequently as my shadow refuses to leave my side.
Well dear ones, it seems Scorpio is a water sign and this New Moon reminds us to face our fears; and sister, she isn’t doing this lightly at all! There is a powerful motion signifying that we reclaim our inner power by acknowledging our shadow and integrating our dark side within us with no shame but with love and acceptance. This New Moon is an exciting one for we have the opportunity to set our intentions that will last for 6 months. Therefore, be very careful unfolding what you desire.
I’ve included my October’s New Moon ritual. Enjoy and please tell me how it felt to honor the moon in this particular way.
New Moon Ritual
Clear your space and yourself with a smudge bundle, palo santo, full moon water, or a selenite wand.
Light a candle
Guide your spiritual teams home.
Ground yourself with deep breathes.
Open Space Blessing
I call upon North, asking for the blessings of all animals that hibernate and go into the darkness. I honor my life transitions, the cycle of birth, and death that allows me great wisdom. May the new moon provide my new learnings roots into the fertile soil of mother earth.
I call upon East, asking for the blessings of the winged with the waxing of the new moon. I honor the winged creature’s medicine of receptivity and seeing the larger vision with deep gratitude. I use my breath to impart new life from the seed of an idea. I activate the magic within me.
I call upon South, asking for the blessings of all water animals who teach me the ways of being focused and patient. I honor my vision and my actions. May my intuition continue to grow as I feel expansive with the movement towards the full moon.
I call upon West, asking for the blessings of the night animals, the keeper of dreams, as the moon weans. May my life force continue to pulsate through me as I put ideas into form, harvest my crops, and see life as a playful exploration through alchemy. May I use my powers to transmute everything into beauty, life and love.
I honor and give thanks to Mother Earth for her love and strength.
And lastly, we call upon the sisters in my circle so we hold our sacred connection, love and power together in unity.
